The employee induction training was successfully held in July 2020.
On July 10, all new experimental technicians and staff from the School of Mechanical Engineering/IAFE, assembled at LIXING Building of iHarbour. Dean Xuefeng CHEN gave the opening speech.
Xuefeng CHEN gave a wonderful report, describing the construction history of IAFE, the development of the School and the future prospects of the mechanical discipline. He pointed out that the School of Mechanical Engineering is one of Jiaotong University’s oldest and most powerful school. It enjoys a high reputation both at home and abroad. In the world ranking by subject released by Shanghai Ranking and U.S. News, our discipline of mechanical engineering has been continuously rated as No. 2 worldwide since 2018.
From July 10 to July 22, a total of eight lectures were arranged, including U.S. National Laboratory Management and Introduction, etailed explanation of confidential knowledge, the history of the School and the spirit of westward migration, procurement of equipment and instruments, asset and laboratory management, daily financial reimbursement, project budget and use of funds, excel use.

On July 22, the training was over. Chaohui WANG, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School , had a discussion with the new employees and issued certificates.
