He is the Professor of Xi’anJiaotongUniversity, doctoralsupervisor and the honorary director of Academic Committee of the State KeyLaboratory of Tribology, Tsinghua University. He is also the professors of manyuniversities and editor of Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering andTribology. Once he was the member of disciplineassessment groups of the academic degree commission of the state council andthe chief expert of the moderndesign technology of AMTRC, director-general of Chinese Mechanical EngineeringSociety and Institute of Tribology, the director of TheoryofLubricationand Bearing InstituteSchool of Mechanical Engineering, Xi’an Jiaotong University, and the editor of ProcIMechE (Part J) Journal of Engineering Tribology. He was electedasan academician of theChinese Academy of Sciences in 1994 and in 1995 he was chosen as a nationalmodel worker.
He engaged inresearch and teaching in Mechanics, Tribology for more than 60 years. He held andfinished more than 10 national key scientific researchprojects, and received the Adward of National Conferenceon Science, National Natural ScienceAward, National Science Progress Award, ScienceProgress Award in Ministerial and Provincial-Level and the Honorary Award forthe Most Hardworking Teacher, achievement awardof Chinese Mechanical EngineeringSociety,the ScienceProgress Award fundeded by the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation and many patented items. He has supervised morethan 100 graduates and published more than 300 articles.
He didtheoretical and practical research on Tribology, put forward three axioms of tribology and built a framework of tribology theory and apply them on design of largerotating machinery, enginetribology and dynamics. He also raised four basic principles on design and many importantideas, such as “design is the spirit of manufacturing”; “successful innovationcan not be alive without correct designs”; “the meaning of design service todesign competition in distributed resources and environment”and so on. He initiated, organized and operatedInternet-Based Collaborative Research Center on Modern Design and Manufacturingof Ministry of Education of China. He invented the technique of Life CircleNature and Digital Sampling and now is organizing and promoting the research ondesign.
Liding WANG

He was graduatedfrom Jilin University of Technology in 1960, majoring in mechanicalmanufacturing process and equipment. Later, he worked in Changchun Institute ofOptics, Fine Mechanics and Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, serving asResearcher, Director of the Research Institute and Doctoral Supervisorsuccessively. In 1995, he was elected Academician of CAS. In 1998, he wastransferred to the School of Mechanical Engineering of Dalian University ofTechnology and served as the Head of MEMS Research Center and Key Laboratoryfor Micro/Nano Technology and System of Liaoning Province. He was an expert inthe planning of National MEMS Development Strategy and State Medium- andLong-term Programme on Science and Technology Development, Standing Director ofChina Instrument and Control Society, Standing Director of Chinese Society forMeasurement, Guest Director of Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society andDeputy Director of Chinese Society of Micro-Nano Technology.
He has longengaged in the research of ultra precision gear-grinding processing and itstest and established relevant theories on precision and error compensationmethods such as “sine reduction method”. He developed sample plates ofprecision gear and involute with the highest accuracy grade, which is used asengineering and measurement standard. In 1980s, he conducted researches inbench with transmission chain of submicron precision and high stability, whichwas used in the recording equipment of CD motherboard. In 1992, he set up thefirst MEMS research lab in China. In 1999, he established MEMS Research Centerand conducted researches in unit and system design, fabrication, test andkinematics and kinetics. He has won the second and third prize of NationalScience and Technology Progress Award twice and once respectively, one prize inthe National Scientific Conference Award, andreceived more than ten rewards from the provincial ministries. He has writtenmore than two hundred papers and two academic works, and has been granted overten invention patents.
Binheng LU

Professor LU Binheng,member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, was the dean of Mechanic Schoolof Xi'an Jiaotong University in the past years. He also has many othertitles, such as, director of the National Rapid Manufacturing Engineering Center,director of the Center for High-end Manufacturing Equipment, leader of project"basic research of nano-meter manufacturing" guiding team, CTO of "high-gradeCNC machine tool technology" project, which is a key State science andtechnology project, and vice President of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Societyand Association of Machinery Manufacturing process, etc.
Professor LU is anexpert in AM technology, whose researches involve 3D printing technology, numericalcontrolling, micro-nano manufacturing technology and Bio-Manufacturing, etc.
In recent years, he has taken charge of and participated in many research tasks and projects, such as the 9th and 10th “Five-year Education RevitalizationPlan”, 863 project, 973 project, and many other projects held by NSFC. Theseyears, LU has published more than 400 papers, among which 18 were published inSCI, 90 in EI. He has also achieved about 20 invention patents.
And many of hisachievements have become industrialized, getting widespread use.

Zhuangde JIANG

He is an academician of the Chinese Academy ofEngineering, Professor of Xi'an Jiaotong University, doctoral supervisor and a guest professor at the University of NewSouth Wales in Australia.
Once the Vice President of Xi'an Jiaotong University, at present, JIANG Zhuangde is aCommittee Member of the National People's Congress Standing Committee and the NationalPeople's Congress Environmental and Resources Committee, President of theShaanxi Association for Science and Technology, Director of the Institute ofPrecision Engineering of Xi'an Jiaotong University, Vice Chairman of the ChineseSociety of Micro-Nano Technology and the China Education Association ofMachinery Industry, Executive Director of the Chinese Society for Measurement,and Director of the Shaanxi Mechanical Engineering Society, etc. Previously, hewas a member of the evaluation group for Mechanical Engineering discipline of NationalNatural Science Foundation of China and the National Science and Technology AwardCommission,leader of the evaluation group for the Mechanical Engineeringdiscipline, and an expert of the National High-tech Research andDevelopment Projects (863 Program) under the 11thFive-Year Plan in the field of advanced manufacturing technology. He has beenengaged in research work concerning the Micro and Nano-fabrication, precision measurement and high precision machining technology and equipment for a long time. Hehas made great contribution to the development of technology and engineeringconcerning high-temperature resistant pressure sensor, MEMS units, anddigitized precision measurement technology and equipment. He has conducted aninnovation research on basic theories related to the Micro-Nano technology. Asthe first individual who had accomplished the research, he received nine awardsincluding the second prize of the State technological Invention Award, thesecond prize of National Scientific andTechnological Progress Award and many other provincial-level awards. In2014, he was awarded the Science and Technology Award ofthe Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation.
He has supervised more than 100 Doctors and Master degree candidates,among which one student was awarded the National Excellent 100 Doctoral Dissertation.Besides, he is an editor-in-chief of two books and has published more than 300articles. Moreover, he has received the authorization of over 70 patentedinnovations and 15 software copyrights. Mr. JIANG has also been the Chairman ofmany important international and national academic conferences.
Yinghong LI

He is an expert in AerospacePropulsion Theory and Engineering and a professor of Air Force EngineeringUniversity. In January 5, 1963, he was born in Fengjie County, Chongqing, hisnative place. In 1983, he was graduated from the Department of Aerospace andMechanical Engineering of the later Air Force Engineering University. In 1989,he got his master’s degree in the later Nanjing University of Science and Technology.At present, he is the Head of the State Key Laboratory of Aerospace PlasmaDynamics.
He has long engaged in researchesof pneumatic and thermal control, troubleshooting and parts surfacestrengthening of aero-engine, been in charge of and successfully completedmultiple major scientific projects. He proposed plateau startup modeling andcontrol method of aero-engine, study theory covering machine learning,laser-shock-induced surface nano-crystallization and composite reinforcementmechanism of residual compressive stress, plasma shock flow control theory andcompressor at near-stall flow measurement and control method and achievedoutstanding results in engineering application, winning the first class merit.He once won multiple prizes including the first prize of National Science andTechnology Progress Award and the first prize of Military Science andTechnology Progress Award.
