Title:        Thermo-mechanical Processing of Aluminium Alloys - Microstructure, Texture and Properties

Time:         15: 00pm-17: 00 pm, November 13, 2019

Location:  Room A-420, West Building 5, Qujiang Campus

Lecturer:    Professor Knut Marthinsen

Inviter:      Professor Ke HUANG

Abstract:

The presentation will give a short introduction to Norway, NTNU and the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, including a brief overview of research infrastructure and research activities in general. Then a selection of examples of research activities related to characterization and modelling of nano-/microstructure and properties of Al-alloys will be given, ranging from first principles calculations of structure and strength of interfaces to characterization and modelling of microstructure, texture, and properties during thermo-mechanical processing aluminium alloys.
