On the morning of June 30, 2020, CHENG Jin, Minister of the Propaganda Department of Xi'an Jiaotong University, went to iHarbour Academy of Frontier Equipment(IAFE) to inspect and supervise the construction of the scientific research platform and the preparations for the "Science Innovation Month". CHEN Xuefeng, Dean of the IAFE, heads of the scientific research platform, and research platform experimenters participated.
CHEN Xuefeng reported on the overall situation of the platform construction of IAFE, and then went to each platform for on-site inspection.
At the Key Laboratory of Modern Design and Rotor Bearing System of the Ministry of Education, CHEN Xuefeng introduced that after the platform was completed, experimenter would be hired to ensure that the platform is fully effective and assist scientific research. CHEN Xuefeng said that "It is not enough to have a platform, but perfect personnel and platform management mechanism must be established." CHENG Jin pointed out that it was necessary to focus on the output of scientific research platforms and expand the influence of research platforms.
On the robot and intelligent system platform, some workers were constructing and the precision part of the platform had completed the construction design plan. Due to the need to build a 500-square-meter cleaning room, we encountered some difficulties in fire protection approval and financial aspects.
CHENG Jin was very concerned about the completion time of the platform and puted forward specific suggestions on the difficulties faced. He pointed out that coordinating and communicating with various departments to seize the time to promote platform construction as soon as possible.
In the remote intelligent monitoring big data center of IAFE, CHEN Xuefeng introduced "This is a big data analysis center that can be diagnosed remotely. About 50% of the country's wind turbine data is here.For example, a wind turbine in Xinjiang has failed and cannot be diagnosed on site. Our teachers can immediately analyze and diagnose the fault based on the passed data and propose solutions in time."
On the Medicine & Engineering cross-public platform, Professor XU Guanghua first introduced the division of the platform's experimental area and scientific research direction, and then gave a detailed explanation and demonstration of some scientific research equipment.
CHENG Jin said that while experiencing the intelligent and advanced equipment, he also saw a great opportunity for Medicine & Engineering cross-cooperation.
In addition, the public platform for fault diagnosis and dynamics, intelligent manufacturing equipment and systems (large workshop), and the public platform for 3D printing were also checked. The relevant leaders introduced the progress of platform construction and the status of equipment relocation and debugging.
CHENG Jin affirmed the platform construction of the IAFE and emphasized the time node of the platform construction. During the construction, he hoped that the IAFE would overcome difficulties, gather energy, speed up the construction of the platform, and plan the preparations for the "Science Innovation Month" in advance.
